WELCOME! If you are joining us for the "Use Your Stash Blog Hop" you are right on track. You should be coming from Shirley's blog.
There are 12 participants this month. If you get lost along the way
you can see the entire list of hoppers on Rachel's Blog. Let's get
started.
Today I am showcasing a fun card that can use those scraps of ribbon that you just can't seem to toss because "what if I need them for another project?"
I really loved this stamp set! It comes with four darling, vintage animals with print in the background! Can you guess what paper pack I used?! If you said to yourself, "I bet that's the Dotty For You paper she keeps on going on about", you would be absolutely right!!! I distressed all of the edges with Chocolate ink, and scrunched up the green paper so I could distress the wrinkles. I love making things look well worn! I think the strip of burlap adds a lot to the feel of this card. Don't you?
I chose bits of ribbon from my all too big stash that I though would complement the rooster. Banners are all the rage right now, and I see them lined up next to each other, so I figured I'd get the same effect with ribbon. I am pleased with the way it turned out.
I used Barn Red, Sunset, and Sunflower inks to water color the rooster image. I would love to hear what you think!!
Now hop on over to Rachel's Blog for more ideas of using up your stash.

Another Card
Oh, I just can't get enough of this paper! I made this beautiful card for a dear friend of mine who just lost her father. I wanted to make something fitting, but uplifting at the same time. Here is what I came up with.
I knew that I wanted to use the grey polka dot paper, but I wanted to add some happy colors. I distressed all of the papers just a bit on the edges to help them stand out against each other with Grey Flannel ink. The grey ribbon was some ribbon from my all too big (and growing!) stash! LOL
I really liked using the wired ribbon. It gave me the ability to place and wave the ribbon exactly how I wanted. I might have to buy a lot more of that stuff! Heh, and add it to my growing stash!
Get some of this paper for yourself! You won't be disappointed!!!

participants and their blog addresses if you should get lost or want to
reference a blog along the way. Let’s
get started!
If you
are coming from Tracey's Blog, you are on the right track!
Although there are a whole lot of fabulous window cards to cut out and use on the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, I chose to go about it in a different way...I used a layer instead.
I really like the dragonfly postage stamp! I cut him out at 3", then layered some foliage behind him. I popped the whole thing up on top of the Victory paper and chocolate striped ribbon. A few circular Durables, and some Distress Stickles on his wings, and the card is complete! I think it will make a nice birthday card for one of my nephews.
Here is a closer view of the dragonfly.
Supply
List:
- Victory Paper Packet (X7150B)
- Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain (Z1617)
- Round Durables Studs (Z1706)
- Chocolate ink pad (Z2111)
- Brushed Pewter Distress Stickles (Ranger product)
Thanks
for stopping by! Please continue onto Technically Terrific Blog where you will find the instructions for participating and a chance to win fabulous prizes!!!!

Dotty For You
I know I mentioned that my mom's birthday was celebrated on Easter Sunday, but I failed to mention anything about the card I made for her! First, I have to tell you that I absolutely LOVE the paper pack that I used for it. Since May is National Scrapbooking Month, Close To My Heart has come out with this awesome paper pack called Dotty For You! It has ALL of the hottest color trends in it! You will love all of the choices you have with this! Here is the card I made my mom using just ONE of the papers in it!
This is the first time I have used one of the CTMH velvet rub-ons!!! I can't believe I waited so long! Isn't it lovely?
I had this fun Prima flower in my stash. It was so pretty, and I really like to give my mom pretty things, so I thought it would be perfect for her card. I think the baubles are a fun touch, too.
I hope you enjoyed it, and it made you smile! Here are the details for the Dotty For You paper pack that you can get for $5!!!!!!

Birthday Card For My Love
Last week was my dear husband's birthday. I thought I would share the card I made for him. I really love the vintage look it has! I hope it makes you smile like it made me. :o) That's when I know I like what I've made. I smile and giggle like a little girl. LOL
These cute little tattered ruffles I created using the corner rounder with the guard taken off. I distressed them in black ink, and after adhering them, I bent and ripped some of them, giving them a worn, old look. Vintage!!!!
I didn't use ink to stamp these cute figures with! I painted my stamps with black acrylic paint to stamp them with!!! It gives it a subtly different look than using ink. I believe that every little detail is what makes the difference.
Did you notice the heart?! This is the most fabulous part, in my opinion. I used a heart shaped dimensional element, and inked it up with reds and yellow in the middle. Then, I used Crackle Accents by Inkssentials. Isn't it awesome?!
I just love pretty things, don't you?
Happy crafting everyone!!!

April Workshop
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I know I did. We also celebrated my mother's birthday, so it was an extra special day. (I am very proud of myself for not giving in to the 'egg' pun!!! LOL)
I would like to show you all what I created with the April stamp of the month. I will be teaching these two cards, plus two other 'girlie' cards for my card class this month. Keep on going to the end of this post for those details! :o)
For these cards, I used the Cruisin' paper. I really like the masculine qualities of it. Having boys, any paper like this really comes in handy to make birthday cards or layouts. The first card was really fun. I just love heat embossing! I heat embossed with clear powder for the background, and red powder for the sentiment. The ribbon is custom colored with the color ready ribbon. I can tell that this will definitely be one of those 'go-to' things for me! I tattered the edges to give it a worn look.
The second card uses a star dimensional element covered with paper. I just love the argyle pattern of the Cruisin' line! Once again, the ribbon is the color ready ribbon that I stamped onto. What fun, huh?! The memo pins are great, too!
So, here are the details of the card class. We will be making four cards in total. Two cards that are more feminine, and two cards that are more masculine.
I will be teaching this class on Saturday, April 28th at 10:30 am and ending at 1:30 pm. The cost is $20. Payment will reserve your spot, so please hurry! I only have 8 spots!!!
